Originally hailing from the city of Detroit, Michigan, Thomas Folden’s life has been a remarkable journey of transformation, service, and accomplishments. At the tender age of 17, fresh out of high school, Thomas enlisted in the Army.

Over two decades of military service, Thomas evolved from a young and wild recruit into a highly skilled leader and manager. His roles as a Military Policeman and Infantry Mortarman not only showcased his dedication but also instilled in him the values of discipline, teamwork, and adaptability. Thomas retired from the military after 20 years, leaving behind a legacy of exemplary service.

Thomas’s dedication to service extends to his community involvement. As a Disabled American Veteran, he served as Commander of the organization and worked to assist Veterans with the disability compensation claims.

Thomas is married to Yvonne, a fellow 20-year Military Policeman, and father to three children—Gabriella, Brianna, and Dominic—family is at the core of his life. The Folden family chose El Paso as their home, drawn to its unique blend of big city amenities and small-town charm. In El Paso, they discovered a sense of community and connection that made the city truly special.

Among his many achievements, Thomas can proudly claim the title of Paratrooper, having jumped out of 36 airplanes and helicopters. His diverse experiences include working as an undercover narcotics agent alongside the DEA, becoming an FBI trained hostage negotiator, and running marathons on three different continents. As a Drill Sergeant, he molded future soldiers, earning the prestigious Audie Murphy award and serving as President of the esteemed US Army club. He received the Order of the Marechaussee, a testament to his standing as a top Military Policeman. He also founded the PFC Stephen A. Boyd Jr. Top Cop Competition, demonstrating his commitment to recognizing excellence in Law Enforcement.

Education has been a constant pursuit for Thomas. He holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Criminal Justice from Purdue and is on track to complete his Master’s in Business Administration in 2024. His dedication to personal and professional growth is evident in his achievement of the 2022 Ruben Schaeffer Sr. Certified Commercial Investments Manager (CCIM) Scholarship.

Thomas’s career in real estate spans over four years in sales and a year and a half in property management. His expertise extends to both residential and commercial real estate, and he can proudly claim the successful sale of the Jay Armes mansion as part of his portfolio.
